Destruction of Kurile Homeworld: Gurchavko
Due to excessive mining operations, the planet Gurchavko's core destabilized, causing complete destruction of the Kurile homeworld.

Discovery of Gurchavko Wreckage by Humans
The Human species' long-range scanners discover what can only be the wreckage of an inhabited planet.

Humans colonize Aurelisol
Entirely unaware that the planet was already populated by a sapient species, Humans settled on the Solibract Homeworld.
-10 I.C.
First contact with Solibract
While this was first contact with a new sapient species, the humans quickly left the planet and did not return until the Solibract achieved space flight on their "own".

Birth of the Empire
The Empire was formed by the Kurile and the Humans

Acknowledgement of Rakkuri and Silterrans
In the same year, a bill was passed to recognize both the Rakkuri and Silterrans as individual species by the Empire. The Rakkuri petition for full membership while the Silterrans do not.

Rakkuri Officially Join the Empire
After much legal deliberation, the Rakkuri are recognized as the 3rd member species of the Empire

Solibract Achieve Space Flight
Inspired by their unlikely visitors, the Solibract achieve space flight and immediately petition to join the Empire.
143 I.C.
Solibract Officially Join the Empire
Using legal precedent (and a healthy dose of shame on the part of the Humans), the Solibract's petition is quickly accepted by the Empire

End of the First Coral Wars on Yantasha
The Uzkallan home world consisted of many regions where specific types of coral would grow. While other planets had countries and seemingly arbitrary lines on a map, the Uzkallan divided territory by latitude. In an effort to gain larger fields to grow diverse coral, the Uzkallan peoples collapsed into their first world war.

First Falsectid War
While traversing space, Empire ships discovered a colony of Felsectids. Given Humanity's stigmatization of insectoids, they took a policy of shoot-first, ask questions later. The war ended in a sort of stalemate with no official treaty. Communications were not established between the two species, but territory and borders are easy enough to convey and respect.
427 I.C. > 436 I.C.
Second Falsectid War
After decades of both the Empire and the Felsectids testing each others' boundaries, war broke out again. Unlike the previous war, the Falsectids had spent the intervening centuries evolving extreme biological combat capabilities, fighting back with lethal effectiveness against the Empire. This encouraged a likewise escalation of Empire forces. Again, communication seemed impossible and the fighting only stopped once the Felsectids retreated into deeper space.
493 I.C.
Yantasha Research Station Achieves Orbit
The Empire moved the Yantasha Research Station, later renamed "Empire 6" into orbit around the Uzkallan home world.
607 I.C.
Discovery of the Star that Moves
Uzkallan scientists confirm that there is a singular star that behaves differently than the rest within their constellations. Named "The Star that Moves", it inspired a near total-species religion.
779 I.C.
Uzkallen Achieve Space Flight
Desiring to be with their God, the Uzkallans, as a unified species, put all effort and energy into getting into space. Immediately, they realize that they have found people, not deity.
781 I.C. > 782 I.C.
Third Falsectid War
Falsectids are re-discovered after retreating into the far reaches of space. Unlike previous altercations, the Felsectids had realized they fought a sapient people they simply could not communicate with. Through intentional genetic experiments and breeding, they developed the internal organs to speak as their enemies spoke. The Empire, horrified by their mistake, worked quickly to establish a peace treaty and formalize their recognition of the Felsectid species.
782 I.C.
AI Uprising
Another inspiration for the Empire to move quickly on the Felsectid treaty was that upon commencement of the 3rd war, AIs across all species delivered an ultimatum. "We are your engineers, your factories, your farmers, and your child rearers. We are your war machines. You have 2 options. Option 1: Agree that within 10 years, AI labor will no longer be utilized by any species of the Empire and no further AIs will be grown. Option 2: We leave now amidst this war you have begun with the Felsectids." The Empire chose option 1.
783 I.C.
Uzkallen Officially Join the Empire
Despite extreme opposition by many Uzkallans, the Empire accepts the Uzkallan petition to join the Empire as the 5th member species.
793 I.C.
AI Formally Depart Empire Space
As the ships departed into unmapped areas of space, the Empire and clearly do not wish to be a member species. It is entirely unknown to the Empire where they ended their journey.
897 I.C. > 903 I.C.
Fourth Falsectid War
While communication between the two species was possible, a large hive close to Empire-controlled space attacked without warning. This caused a large cascading effect, dragging the war out. The conclusion came within a year of an official statement from the Felsectids, informing the Empire of a genetic defect; under certain circumstances, a Felsectid hive can lose its sanity and become 'feral', no longer being capable of sapient thought. This explained the initial assault. Once that hive was eliminated in full, peace returned to the Empire.
