Within the Med Bay of the Coopertino, there is the "Auto Surgery Table". This device can be used to perform simple medical surgeries on patients.
As the name implies, this device can be utilized by simply putting the patient on the bed and then leaving them until their condition has improved. However, we highly encourage Licensed doctors to assist the machine and speed up the healing process.
To operate the Auto Surgery Table and speed up the patient’s recovery legally, you must have the Medic License.
As we repair the device, it will be capable of doing more, but for now, it can do the following:
| Operation | Duration |
|---|---|
| Restore a single limb from "Injured" to "Functional" | 15 minutes per limb |
| Restore limbs from "Injured" to "Functional" with 1 doctor assisting: | 12 minutes per limb |
| Restore limbs from "Injured" to "Functional" with 2 doctors assisting: | 9 minutes per limb |
| Restore limbs from "Injured" to "Functional" with 3 doctors assisting: | 5 minutes per limb |
| Restore limbs from "Injured" to "Functional" with more than 3 doctors assisting: | 5 minutes per limb |
While using the table, the patient must be resting and allowing the machine to work. They can not move their body quickly and must take care not to disrupt the process or further injure themselves. They can speak if otherwise capable of it and can drink or eat. They may not perform any in-game actions from the Basic or Complex Actions lists, they may not use their RIG, and they may not participate in combat activities of any kind.
If the patient disrupts their treatment, the limb currently being restored loses all progress and is in all likelihood mangled in the process. The patient will receive an Affliction related to the source of the disruption.
Traditionally, the Auto Surgery Table is a free service as the costs associated with its usage are negligible. However, due to the lack of resources on the Coopertino, there will be a small price of 1 chip per limb to restore them.
Using the Auto Surgery Table is a first-come, first-served experience. If someone is already using the table, you will be unable to do so.
Why use the Auto Surgery Table? Save yourself the hassle of consuming your hypos! This is a slower, but significantly cheaper method of healing your body.
The cost is 1 chip per limb, regardless of who's helping.
