POIs - Points of Interest

Points of interest are areas around the ship where you’ll find a QR code attached to a prop. Each POI is tied to a specific Pillar and requires Licenses from that Pillar to interact with. For all POIs, they only require the Tier 1 License from their Pillar to legally scan, but they sometimes require a higher Tier License to complete the interaction. When in doubt, scan the code and it will tell you whether or not you’re allowed to scan it!

IMPORTANT: POIs are random when they happen. You may scan a specific QR code at 11:23 and everything is green. This doesn’t mean that the device won’t require maintenance at 11:30. Feel free to scan often as you never know!

All POIs function the same way, regardless of associated Pillar. They will have some sort of description that tells you the status of the thing you scanned. More often than not, there won’t be any issue. Other times, you might see a screen like this:

A screen like this indicates that maintenance is required on the device in front of you. This is not mandatory for you to complete. In fact, if you do not have the License(s) indicated at the bottom, you will not be able to do the maintenance yourself. You will need to find someone with the License to scan it and fix it. If no one fixes the issue, it might become a problem for people on the ship.

When you begin maintenance there will be some sort of activity that requires your involvement. Here’s an example of the following screen you’ll see (NOTE: We’ve blurred out the activity to avoid spoilers)

On an OOG level, you are REQUIRED to complete the puzzle before you are allowed to click the “Complete POI” button. Once you have completed it, the POI has been ‘completed’ and you can see the related department head who will give you a bounty for being ever vigilant and protecting the lives of your fellow Occupants!
